Stories & Song
From time to time we undertake concerts which include a variety of elements including music, storytelling and teaching. Our intention is to both encourage and challenge the audience, as well as providing an entertaining evening. These evenings are ideal for church congregations. Times of sung worship may also be included.

“I wanted to thank both of you for giving us such an amazing concert/teaching event. What a powerful, Spirit-filled evening it was.“
Wendy P., Wisconsin, USA
Christmas
Christmas is probably our favourite season, particularly because of the vast range of music that accompanies it. Musically, we include a mix of old favourites, less well-known traditional carols plus our own songs.
We have had the privilege of leading Candlelight Carols with a band/orchestra, organ and 30-strong choir and these have probably been the best events we’ve staged. The sound of the musicians, choir and congregation in joyful song was wonderful.
The Screaming Donkeys have also done a couple of ‘Christmas Specials’, drawing upon the five albums we’ve made, but still seeking to create that festive, candlelit ambience with the appropriate stories and readings.
If you’re looking for something simpler, David & Melanie would be pleased to come and provide a Christmas evening of music, readings and stories. Contact Us for more information.
“A big thank you for the brilliant carol service … it was the best we’ve ever been to, which includes St Pauls Cathedral, Central Hall in Westminster and St Peter’s Brighton.”
Peter M, Eastbourne, UK

Good Friday
If Christmas is good because of the traditions and festive music, Easter has something much more profound, being a season of paramount importance and a wonderful opportunity to both reflect and celebrate.
Good Friday is the perfect time to gather as Church and, through song and spoken word, hear again accounts of fulfilled prophecies, the events of Passion week, and the amazing act of sacrificial love that Jesus made for us. There is usually an opportunity for people to respond in some way at these concerts, but gently and appropriate to the moment.

“I think the Lord was worshipped in a way that I certainly haven’t experienced for a long while. Who said you need a rock band & Matt Redman? (Although that’s my preference usually). I thought that Melanie & David were fantastic.”
Steve P, Tunbridge Wells, UK
